Lluís Claret was born in the year 1951 in Andorra la Vella. He is an
Andorran cellist. Lluís Claret was born in Andorra in the year 1951 and it was
there that he started his musical education when he was 9 years of age. In the
year 1964, Lluís Claret moved to Barcelona and won major distinctions at the
conservatory of the Liceu and started working with Enric casals. Lluís Claret
kept on with his studies in France, Italy and in the United States. All through
his life career as a musician, Lluís Claret has been committed to the chamber
music.

Lluís Claret has played music with several popular orchestras including
the national symphony de Washington, Moscow Philharmonic, National Orchestra of
France, the English Chamber Orchestra, the Czech Philharmonic and then the
Hungarian Philharmonic.
Lluís Claret won the first prizes in several international competitions.
He is the founding member of the Trio de Barcelona and has collaborated with
several popular musicians in the world.
Lluís Claret teaches at the music schools and conservatories and has
always taken part in the juries of many international competitions.
