Fernando Agostinho da Costa known with the name Xara was born on the 10th October 1981 in Luanda. He is an Angolan international footballer who is currently playing the role of a midfielder for the club Petro Atletico.

Xara has been playing for the club since the year 2006 and has been a member of the Angolan national team since the year 2006. He has played the total of 20 matches for the country since his debut in the year 2006. Xara was not called up for the 2006 FIFA World Cup because of his lack of experience, but was among the national team of the country that played in the 2010 African Cup of Nations.
