de Jesus Nobre simply known with the name Édson was born on the 2nd
March 1980. He is a retired Angolan international football player who played
the role of a winger for the country and for the clubs.

Édson
spent most of his professional career in Portugal, mainly with the club, Pacos
de Ferreira, and he was with the club that played in the 2008/09 UEFA Cup.
Édson
was part of the Angolan national team that played in the 2006 World Cup.
Football Career
Édson
was born in Benguela. He started his professional football career in Portugal
when he was 19 years of age. He went on to play the lower league football of
the country with the clubs, G.D. Mealhada and Anadia FC. The third division
display of Édson with the club, Oliveira do Bairro S.C. caught the attention of
the top level football club side, F.C. Pacos de Ferreira.
Édson
played his first league match for the club against C.D. Nacional on the 21st
August 2005, and the game finished 0-1 loss in Madeira. In the second season he
had with the club, as his club qualified for the UEFA Cup for the first time in
the history of the club’s football. Édson scored four goals for the club after
playing the total of 25 matches for the club, but he was never a static starter
of the club in his four years stay at the club.
In the
summer of the year 2009, Édson signed with EthnikosAchna FC of Cyprus. His stay
at the club was not successful, so he went back to his country in the next
transfer window and joined C.R.D. Libolo.
In the year 2011, he
joined Arouca, but never played any game of the club. He left the club in that
same year to AliadosLordelo where he spent the 2011/12 season, though he played
no game for the club as well.
Édson
was part of the Angolan national team from the year 2005 to the year 2009. He
was called up for the first time in the national team of the country in the
year 2005 and was among the national team of the country that played in the
2006 African Cup of Nations. He was also among the national team of the country
that played in the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Édson was also among the national team
of the country that played in the 2008 African Cup of Nations, he played in the
quarter final game that was played against Egypt, and the match finished 2-1 in
favor of Egypt.
Édson
played the total of 15 games for the national team of the country from the year
2005 to the year 2009 that he retired from international football.
