Mohammed Yacine was born in the year 1920; he died in the year 1988. He
was an Algerian writer who wrote more than 20 novels.

Mohammed Yacine moved to Paris in the year 1952 and travelled all through
Europe. He wrote in the French language. Probably the best work he did in the
novel called Nadjmu in the year 1954 that dealt with four men planning a coup.
Some of his other popular works are Étoile (1976) and the play L'histoire du sandales de caoutchouc (1970).
Mohammed Yacine’s work was always about the modern day Franco-Algerian
politics. The later plays he wrote that praised the French colonialism were so
complicated.
