Mohamed Chouikh was born in the year 1943. He is an Algerian film maker
Mohamed Chouikh was born at Monstaganem in Algerian on the 3rd
September 1943. It was there that he turned into a stage actor with the troupe
that later became the Algerian National Theatre. In the year 1965, Mohamed
Chouikh acted in one of the greatest film production of the country called L'Aube des damnés, which was directed by René
Vautier and Ahmed Rachedi. Chouikh took the role of a Lakhdar in Mohamed
Lakhdar’s most successful film called Le Vent des Aures in the year 1966. He
directed L’Embouchure for the Algerian TV in the year 1972 and then he was the
director of the Les Paumes in the year 1974.

his first feature-length movie called Rapture in the year 1983 and has been
doing more of writer-director work since that time.
