Algiers. He is a retired Algerian football player. He was among the Algerian
national team that played in the 1982 FIFA World Cup.

Club Career
When he was 11 years of age, Hocine Yahi joined the club in his hometown,
CR Belouizdad. He spent his entire domestic club career with the club. With the
club, he won the Algerian cup in the year 1978, winning USM Alger 2-0 on
penalty shootouts in the final.
In the year 1990, Hocine Yahi signed a deal with Northern Irish side,
Linfield FC. He won the Gold Cup with the club and got to the final of the 1990
Floodlit Cup at his short period with the club.
International Career
Hocine Yahi was with the Algerian national team that played in the 1979 FIFA
World Youth Championship in Japan. He started in the four group stage matches
and scored in the opening match that was played against Mexico, the match
finished 1-1.
Hocine Yahi was among the Algerian national team that played in the 1982,
1984, 1986 and 1988 African Cup of Nations. In the four tournaments, he played
the total of 16 matches for the country and scored just a goal for the country.
In the year 1980, Hocine Yahi was among the Algerian national team that
played in the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. He never played any match for the
Algerian national team in the tournament.
Hocine Yahi was a member of the Algerian national team that played in the
1982 FIFA World Cup in Spain. He played just a game for the country in the
final group match that was played against Chile as a sub in the 31st
minute of the game, as the match finished 3-2.
