Hassan Yebda was born on the 14th May 1984. He is an Algerian
international football player who is currently playing the role of a midfielder
for Udinese Calcio on loan from Granada CF in Spain. He is also a member of the
Algerian national team. At the time of his professional football, Hassan Yebda
played in France, Portugal, Spain, Italy and England.

Club Career
Hassan Yebda was born in Saint-Maurice, Val-de-Marne. He passed through
the youth academy of the club, AJ Auxerre, but never played any match for the
club’s first team. He is always at the reserve team of the club in the
Championnat de France amateur.
In the January of the year 2006, he was sent on a loan deal to the ligue
2 club, Stade Lavallois. In that same month of the following year, he was
released by the team and he made a move to Le Manc UC72 and he played his first
league 1 match for the club on the 17th February 2007 in a match
that was lost 2-0 against FC Sochaux-Montbeliard. He was brought into the game
in the 70th minute of the game and he scored an own goal in the 80th
minute of the game, and that was the only match he played for the club in that
season.
In the 2007/08 season, he played often for the club, Le Mans and he
assisted the club to finish in the 9th position in the league. On
the 29th May, 2008, Hassan Yebda signed a four-year deal with S.L.
Benfica on a free move. He was so good with the club and he won the Portuguese
player of the month September, 2008 and in February 2009, he scored his first
league goal for the club in the match that finished 1-1 against FC Porto.
Hassan Yebda joined the premier league club, Portsmouth on the 1st
September 2009 on a loan deal. He scored his first goal for the club in the
match that was played against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium
and that was the winner in the first victory of the club for that season. He
scored his second goal for the club in the match that finished 2-1 against
Burnley on the 27th February 2010.
On the 27th August 2010, Hassan Yebda signed a new deal with
S.S.C. Napoli in season-long move. On the 21st November, Hassan
Yebda scored his first goal for the club in the match that was won 2-1 against
Bologna F.C. 1909 in the Coppa Italia. He announced that he will not be coming
back to Serie A on the 4th July 2011.
On the 2nd
August 2011, Hassan Yebda made a move
to Spain and he signed a deal with Granada, a 3-year deal with the club. He
played his first match for the club five days later, as he came in as a sub in
the match that was lost 0-1 against Real Betis.
His spell with the club was obstructed so much by injury problems.
International Career
Hassan Yebda played for the French national team at the youth level, as
he was part of the team of the country that played in the 2001 FIFA U-17 World
Cup that was held in Trinidad and Tobago.
He switched his allegiance to the Algerian national team at the senior
level. He was called up for the match that was played against Zambia in
September 2009, but he never played in the game. He finally played his first
match for the Algerian national team in the match that was won 3-1 against
Rwanda for the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Hassan Yebda was part of the Algerian national team that played in the
2010 African Cup of nations and he started all the group games that were played
by his team. He was also selected to be part of the Algerian national team that
played in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, again he started all the
group stage match for the Algerian national team as a defensive midfielder of
the team, as the country could not score a single goal in the tournament.
Hassan Yebda scored his first goal for the Algerian national team in the
1-0 win against Morocco for the 2012 African Cup of Nations; he scored in the 6th
minute of the match from a penalty kick.
His second goal for
the Algerian national team came in the match that was played against Central
African Republic on the 9th October 2011.
