Initially represented by ensembles like
Vorbire Directa and R.A.C.l.A, and the hip hop music has attained fast
mainstream achievement with the ensembles such as La Familia, Parazitii and
B.U.G Mafia, despite of them being assessed for delivering clear language and
themes. The scene is presently divided between mainstream rappers (Puya, Guess
Who) and underground rappers like Vexxatu Vexx, Haarp Cord and C.T.C. labels
dedicated to hip hop include the Hades Records and the 20 CM Records also.
Rock scene is presently divided between
the metal ensembles (such as Trooper and Negura Bunget), progressive and indie
rock ensemble (Robbie and the Bacstabbers, Kumm and byron). E.M.I.L Haos terror
Art or post-rock (Valerinne) are also other niches of the punk rock.
The underground electronic music scene
has been existing until 2010, somewhat united by the existence of the
Timisoara-based festivity TMBase, reunifying DJs and producers from genres such
as drum ‘n’ bass, dub techno, breakbeat, electronic-rock etc. A result of the
TMBase cooperation’s is the IDM ensemble Makunouchi Bento, who has drawn some
credit with their Bandcamp released material. Also popular is the label known
as La Strada music, which has been placed for some names such as silent Strike
(who have attained commendation on the internet and some radio stations with
the single known as Astenie which he feature Ada Milea), Yvat (a creative IDM
producer of Belgian root, based in Bucharest), Electric Brother, nu-jazz
ensemble like Aievea and others.
Trip pop and the post rock have
affected a few ensembles such as Margento, but the dream pop, shoegaze and
other niche genres are unwell represented. Freak traditional is partly known
due to the achievement of singer-songwriter known as Ada Milea, but is known by
only a few other ensembles such as Nu & Apa Neagra. The producer Minus has
tried to bring the bitpop and, more presently chillwave.
The dudstep DJs have begun to appear,
however with the genre has also been related the ensemble like R.O.A, who have
attained some mainstream achievement thanks to the leader like Junyard, who is
a former vocalist in Suie Paparude.
