Nashenas born as Sadiq Fitrat Habibi, is a prominent musician from Afghanistan since the 1970s whose albums are made up of Pashto, Dari, and few Urdu songs.
BIOGRAPHY
He was born in Kandahar but then lived most of his life in Kabul in Afghanistan. He is tribal Pashtun from the Kakar tribe of the country. He sings his music in both of Afghanistan's languages, Dari language and Pashto and also in Urdu. He is supposed to be presently residing in London, England.
While he was growing up, his family worried him to know the significance of religion as he hailed from the devout elite of the metropolitan of Qandahar. He is said to have advanced an interest in the singing of music. In the early part of the 1970s, Nashenas toured to the Soviet Union, there he gained his Ph.D. in Pashto Literature from Moscow State University.
He is famous among the population of both the Pakistan and Afghanistan, especially in the Pashto speaking regions like the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Quetta and some other regions with great number of the people of Afghanistan. He is famous due to the Ghazal of Iqbal that was sang by him. He had his last round of concert in the year 2004, traveling to the New York City, Washington D.C, Canada and California.
