Sabien Lilaj was born on the 10th
February 1989 ij Korce, Albania. He is a footballer from Albania that is
presently playing for KF Skënderbeu Korçë in the Albanian Superliga. He plays
the role of a midfielder for the club and can play a holding role in the
midfield and also play an attacking role in an attacking position. He is a
member of the national team of the country.

Career
Though he was just 19 at that time, Lilaj was
selected as part of the senior team players of KF Tirana club. This is as
result of the impression he created in front of the new manager of the club,
Blaž Slišković in the pre-season games of the club. The young midfield player
was a player that was liked by the new coach of the club and that he selected
to play in most of the matches that was played by the club, regardless of his
age and lack of experience on the field of play. Meanwhile, with the sacking of
the coach of the club in December 2009, Lilaj found it so hard to appear in the
first eleven of the team, and with the return of the captain of the club, Devi
Muka to fitness, his chance of being a part of the team was narrowed down.
International Career
Lilaj was first selected for the Under-21 national
team of his country on the 22nd October 2008 by the coach of the
national team, Artan Bushati for a friendly match that was played against
Macedonia. He was also selected in the 23 man squad that would go to Macedonia
for a friendly match together with two other Club teammates, Enri Tafaj and
Migen Metani.
He played his first match for the senior national
team of the country in the year 2011.
