The very popular and prominent
Swedish punk rock band is known as Ebba Gron in the year 1977 to 1982 which was
led by Joakim Thastrom. Thastrom who also had two other ensembles known as
Imperiet and Peace, Love & Pitbulls, but they were very pop influenced and
they have never became anywhere close as well-known as the Ebba Gron. Though,
Thastrom is still known in the Sweden, currently as a solo musician.

Umea hardcore Sweden is also a
place to several powerful emo and hardcore punk ensembles such as Fireside,
Satanic Surfers, Last Days of April, Kelly 8 and landmark post-hardcore
ensemble known as Refused. More violent of the early hardcore punk ensembles
include The Shitlickers, Anti Cimex, Homy Hogs, Asta kask, Charta 77, T.S.T,
Mob 47, and Headcleaners. Some of the later powerful ensembles of the violent
kind for instance include the Raised Fist, Loudpipes, Disfeat, Wolfbrigade and
Driller Killer.
