Migjen Basha

Migjen Xhevat Basha was born on the 5th January 1987. He is a footballer from Albania. He is presently playing for Torino in the Serie A.  he has played for the following teams in the past. Frosinone and Atalanta in Italy, and Lausanne, Switzerland.

Early Life
Masha was born in Lausanne to Kosovar Albanian parents that were from Suva Reka. When he was born, his parents sent him to Suva Reka to learn the language of his people and he went to school there also for three years and then he went back to Lousannebefore the war of Kosovo started. At the time of the war, Suva Reka was burned to the ground and the uncle was murdered, and this left a mark in his life. 
Club Career
Basha began his football career in Lausanne. He relocated to Italy for Lucchese when he was 18. In the summer of 2009, his football club swapped him with Michele Ischia. At that time, he was loaned to Viareggio before he was transferred to Ramini in the winter transfer window. 
Career in AC Rimini
Basha played 14 matches for Ramini in the second half of the 2007/08 season as a means of settling into the football club. In the next season of the Serie B, he played about 38 matches for the club and scored goals for them agsinst the following teams; Parma F.C., F.C. Treviso and Ancona 1905. In the Coppa Italia, he scored goal for Ramini against Ravenna Calcio. And the end of the season, Ramini was relegated, and this led to Basha moving to Frosinone Calcio, a Serie B team.
Career in Frosinone Calcio
Basha played his first game for the club on the 21st August 2009 in a game against Salernitana and in the game he scored his first goal for the club. Basha went on to make 38 appearances for the club and he scored three goals for the team. He helped the club to reach the fourth place of the Coppa Italia and he got a goal for them against A.S Varese. In June 2010, Atalanta that has just been relegated from the Serie A, gained the services of the player for Frosinone Calcio. 
Career in Atalanta
Basha played his first game for Atalanta on the 21st Augist 2010 in a game against Vicenza. He played 23 matches for the club before he was loaned to Torino in the Serie B. 
Career in Torino
In the 2011/2012 season, Basha played 36 games for Torino in the Serie B and assisted them to get to the second place and they were promoted to Serie A.
In July 2012 made his deal, which was loan to permanent deal with the club. Basha made his first appearance in the Serie A on the August 26th 2012 in a game played against AC Siena. Basha scored his first Serie A goal on the 28th October of the same year in a match that was played against Parma. 
International Career
Even though he played for Switzerland when he was young, Basha declared his desire to play for Albania. In July 2010, he wrote an application to get an Albanian passport to be qualified to play for the Red and Blacks, but the Swiss Football Association did not permit that he should play for another country. After that Basha declared publicly that he is not going to play for Switzerland again but for Albania. It was reported on the 30th July 2012 that he would resume the process of acquiring the passport of Albania that will permit him to play for his country. Every citizen of the country was waiting for the permission from FIFA to be granted for Basha to play for Albania. On the 21st August of that same year, he was reported to have gained the citizenship of Albania, but FIFa never cleared him yet to play for Albania. FIFA once disallowed the switch of nationality. Basha played his first game for the Albania on the 15th March 2013 in a game against Norway. The Albanian FA and Basha on the 19th March of 2013 was granted the permission by FIFA to go ahead and play for Albania. On the 22nd March, his first game for the country resulted to 0-1 win against Norway. He scored his first goal for his country in a friendly match against Lithuania on the 26th March 2013.
