Igli Tare

Igli Tare was born on the 25^th July 1973 in Vlore. He is a former footballer from Albania. He played the role of a striker for the national team of his country.

Tare studied at the Qemal Stafa High School in Tirana, Albania.

Career

Tare started playing professional football in the year 1996 with the club Karlsruhe in Germany and he stayed there until the year 1997, and then he went to Fortuna Dusseldorf in the 2.Bundesliga.

In the year 1999, he made a move to Kaiserslautern and it was there that he played for just a season and then he was signed by Carlo Mazzone, a veteran Italian coach. For 5 seasons, Tare was with Brescia before he was moved to Bologna where he reunited with Mazzone.

When he was with Bologna, tare was known by the fans of the club and he scored a crucial goal in the relegation play-off match that was played against Parma. Meanwhile, Tare’s goal was not good enough and they lost the second leg of the game at home and were relegated to Serie B.  With the relegation of the club, tare was loaned out to the capital club Lazio and he just scored three goals for the club. At the time of the loan, he made a permanent deal with the club.

He was not a regular player for the coach of the club, Delio Rossi, but he was able to make impact in team when some players of the team were out for injuries.

International Career

Tare has played more than 68 games for the Albanian national team of his country and has score the total of 10 goals for them.  His most impressive play was in the game that was played against Russia in the EURO 2004 qualifiers, which was the match that Albania won 3-1, and he scored the third goal of the game for the country.

In the year 2007, Tare retired from active international football, after he was dropped by Otto Baric. His contract with his club, Lazio finished at the end of the 2007/08 season, and he accepted the role of being the assistant coach of the club. His new role in the club is the sporting director.
