Syria music is vastly originates from the country’s capital Damasscus and the
biggest city known as Aleppo. Syria has been one of the Arab world’s points for
cultural and creative invention, particularly in the area of the classical Arab
music. Syria has also released several pan-Arab celebrities which include Nur
Mahana and George Wasoof. The city of Aleppo is recognized for its muwashshah,
type of Andalous sung poet promoted by Sabri Moudallal, as well as renowned
celebrities such as Dabka, Sabah Fakhri and other types of dance music were
also renowned and local to the greater area.
