on the 28th December 1988. He is a footballer from Afghanistan that
is presently playing as a striker for the Norwegian club known as Asker. Balal
was capped for the national team of his country.

CLUB CAREER
Balal was raised in
Afghanistan and then he left his country to Norway as a refugee. In Norway,
Balal played football for the Senja, Grane, Arendal and the Fredrikstad’s youth
team prior to his joining of the Asker in the year 2009. In February 2013,
Balal joined the Churchill Brother S.C on a loan contract from Asker. His move
was accomplished with the coming back of the Indian forward Sunil Chhetr, who
came from Sporting Clube de Portugal.
INTERNATIONAL CAREER
Balal made his first
appearance for his country in the year 2010, when he was called up for the 2010
South Asian games. Afghanistan surprised everybody as the merged the leader of
the group stage in there group by winning India by 1-0, Pakistan by 2-1 and Sri
Lanka by 2-0. Also Nepal was a major opposition for Afghanistan in the
semifinal of the tournament to also win marginally by 1-0. Balal scored all the
six goals of the country in the tournament and went on to become the top goal
getter of the country and also went on to become the highest goal scorer of the
tournament, having six goals in his name. Unfortunately, Afghanistan lost the
final to the country that hosted the tournament, though the final got Balal the
title of the best player of the tournament. It was great to give such
performance for his country.
His scoring foot
never ended for his country as he became the second player in the history of
the country to score in a World Cup Qualifying game. Obaidullah Karimi was the
first player of the country to score in the country’s first ever goal of the
World Cup Qualifiers in the 1-5 0n aggregate loss to Syria in the 2010 World
Cup Qualifiers. Balal scored the second in a 1-1 draw to Palestine in the 2014
World Cup Qualifiers. Later in the year in the SAFF Championship in the year
2011, Balal scored the starting goal for the country against India that
finished with a 1-1 draw. Balal score an amazing 4 goals against Bhutan in an
8-1 win and this fetched him the man of the match title and has the only
hatrick of the tournament in which he was the captain of the national team as
well with the goals that his country scored against Bhutan, they went on top of
the table ahead of India. He was the hero that acted against Nepal in the
semifinal of the tournament.
