Awista Ayub was born in the year 1979. She is a writer from Afghanistan and the founder of the Afghan Youth Sports Exchange in the United States.

In her novel named Kabul Girls Soccer Club that was formally called ‘However Tall the Mountain’ Awista narrates the story of 8 girls that was brought to the United States to learn how to play soccer.
The Afghan Youth Sports Exchange has grown from the former 8young women to hundreds that are competing via the Football Federation of Afghanistan.

Awista is presently the Regional Director of the International Organization for the empowerment of the youth, ‘Seeds of Peace’. Awista is currently stayuing in Mumbai. Her works at the Seed of Peace is to choose a delegation of young adults to be the leaders of India, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
