Early Life and
Education
Sapi was born in the
year 1933 in the Kama District of Nangarhar region of the country to the Family
of Nasrullah Khan Sapi. He got his primary education from the local school.
Poetry and Songs
Sapi wrote many
Pashto poetries. Some of them has been tyransformed into songs in Pashto. Ustad
Awalmir have many music that are based on the poetry of Sapi, and the most
notable among them is Sta de sterogo Bala wakhlam..
At the time of the
presidency of Daoud Khan (1973-1978), Sapi’s poetry won the best national award
for excdllency among the Dari and Pashto. The poems were dedicated for mother’s
day. Sapi’s poetry is been celebrated by musicians like Mirmon Rukhshana, Ustad
Ayub, Ustad Nashenas,
Ustad Khyal Muhammad, Ustad Shah Wali
and some other music players of the country. Sapi wrote many books including Da
Marghalara-o-Amail.
