Hip hop in Montenegro changed during the mid-90s and was promoted
extremely to the very popular Montenegrin hip hop orchestra during that period,
known as Monteniggers. Following their fame, different hip hop musicians
appeared such as Rade Raido, MC Marko and also Rambo Amadeus, who was lively
long before that. Song themes were frequently funny comments on everyday life.
After a few eras of inactivity, a current wave of Montenegrin hip
hop began appearing through an increasingly number of hip hop oriented
musicians and ensembles such as Radio katakomba who are from Budva, Who See
from Kotor, Barska Stoka from Bar, Montenegro. The major problem these
musicians have was lack of assistance from record labels and inadequate money
available for their hip hop projects
