This is called long song (Urtyn duu) because of each of the syllable of the text is lengthy for a long period. Four minutes song consist only ten words. Lyrical themes differ depending on the context; they are philosophical, romance, religious or celebratory and frequently use the horses as a sign or theme repeated all over the song. The eastern Mongols naturally use the morin khuur (which is the horse-headed fiddle) as accompanied, which is sometimes using the indigenous flute known as Iimbe. Oirat orchestras in the western Mongols naturally sing the long song which is also accompanied with the igil.
