The
Yakhungs (Limbu) have different type of dance, musical instruments and songs,
among is the Dhaan Nach (which is paddy rice) and Chya:brung (Dhol Nach which
is drum dance) are the renowned symbolic. Rais is celebrated as Sakela and
Sakewa which are wrongly known as Chandi Naach. Chandi is the Hindu goddess and
it is not connected in any way with the kirat culture. Many of their dances
contain rituals or religious offerings towards Mundhum (local Kiranti religion).the
traditional songs and dances are also done during wedding, festivals or
gatherings.
