The
Netherlands music has a multiple musical customs. Current Dutch renowned music
known as Nederpop is heavily influenced by the music patterns that appeared in
the 50s, in the United Kingdom and United States. This style is both sung in
Dutch and English. Some of the later advocates such as Shocking Blue and Golden
Earring have attained worldwide popularity.

Many
of the traditional Dutch music are however seen as genre and it is known as
Levenslied which means song of or about life. These songs are attractive,
simple rhythms and melodies and they are always developed from the couplets and
refrains. The themes are frequently romantic and it includes love, death and
loneliness. Traditional Dutch musical instrument include the accordion and the
barrel organ and they are important to levendlied, however in the present years
many of the levenslied musician now uses synthesizers and guitars. Musicians in
this genre include Koos Albert and the late Andre Hazes and Willy Alberti.
The
Dutch techno, gabber, trance, hardstyle and other styles in electronic dance
music dominated the world. Prominent DJs
who gained the world popularity include Tjesto, Ferry Corsten, Armin van
Buuren, Sander van Doorn, Afrojack, Fedde le Grand and Hardwell. The Amsterdam
dance event is the world’s biggest leading electronic music conference and club
festival for many electronic sub-genres on the earth.
