The viola de queluz is a stringed musical instrument that originated from Queluz, Brazil. It has 12 strings in 5 courses and then lower 2 are tripled and the rest of the others are doubled. The musical instruments were mainly invented between the 19th and the 20th century and it was inspired by the viola toeira that is from Portugal. The instruments were traditionally handmade and are still produced in the modern time even though they are not being as appealing to the public as it used to be in the 19th century.
