The gogona is a kind of jaw harp. The gogona is a vibrating reed musical instrument that is used mainly in the traditional Bihu music in Assam. The musical instrument is produced out of a piece of bamboo or horn that has a bifurcation on one extreme. The solid extreme of the instrument is gripped with the teeth and the free extremes of the instrument are then struck continuously with the fingers of the hand to emit the unique sound of the instrument.
