Gagbuba: India musical instrument

The gagbuba is an Indian percussion string musical instrument.

The musical instrument is made up of a dried gourd or wooden resonator through which a gut string if fixed. The player of the musical instrument holds the body of the instrument under his arms and the free end of the string in the paw of the same arm. The string of the musical instrument is plucked with a plectrum in the other free hand of the player. Some versions of the musical instrument, especially the Bengali khonok and khamak have two strings on them.
