Conch shell has every
probability of being used as a musical instrument. They are prepared by putting
a hole in the spire of the shell near the apex and the blowing air into the
shell in a similar way as the trumpet or as if you are blowing horn. You can
sometimes use a mouth piece but some conch shells are played without the use of
mouth piece. There are many marine mollusk shells that can be used to construct
a blowing musical instrument, but some are best known for the production of the
playing instrument.
